Problematic
How can we help people who have suddenly lost their vision regain an active life through sport without fear of injury? Sudden vision loss often leads to isolation, and while blind football helps rebuild confidence and social ties, the fear of collisions and facial impacts discourages many from playing.
Project Goals
Design an autonomous, comfortable, and protective sensory mask for blind football that eliminates the fear of impact, enhances spatial awareness on the pitch, and remains affordable through sponsorship.

The impact
Beyond physical protection, Egle restores players' autonomy on the pitch by reducing their reliance on sighted guides. Its washable, removable cushions and headband ensure long-term hygiene, while the dedicated front sponsorship zone helps clubs fund the equipment and keep the mask accessible for athletes.

Testimonials
"In blind football, players still depend heavily on sighted guides for many tasks, and existing masks lack both facial personalization and elegance. Combining custom shock protection with sponsorship space is key to overcoming the fear of obstacles while keeping costs realistic for clubs."
